At Re:Hope our heart is for people, and we are passionate about being a church who makes an impact both locally and globally to fight injustice.
Re:Hope is dedicated to being a church who make fighting injustice a part of our lifestyle in the way that Jesus did. We do this through financially giving at least 10% of all our income to support the following organisations locally and globally as well as teaching and learning together how we can, as individuals, make an impact through our daily decisions as followers of Christ.
You can find further information on giving to Re:Hope Belfast here.
In 2019, we had our first teaching series on justice titled, Shalom. Shalom is a collection of talks aimed at training and equipping us with a knowledge of the Bible that drives us towards love in action.
We don’t want to be all head with no heart. In all we do we want to live out the way of Jesus, being his hands and feet in the world. Loving the broken and the hurting and restoring their dignity and pointing them to Jesus. We want to look after God's creation, living out our commissioning to be good stewards of all that God has made. Read more here.
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them,
“Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
Along with our monthly food collections we also support Storehouse financially each month.
Everything they do falls into three areas:
Providing good quality essentials to all in need
Creating opportunities for anyone to step out of isolation into a positive, supportive community
Encouraging individuals to develop a healthy view of self and overcome hurdles to flourishing
