Everyone has weakness.

More often than not, we like to abide by our own strength, and hide our weaknesses away; too ashamed or too afraid to acknowledge them to others or even ourselves.

As we approach Easter Sunday we are inviting you to journey with us through the book of John. We will be taking a closer look at the concept of weakness and failure in light of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this series we will focus on our weaknesses in order to point to Christ as the source of our strength, understand that Christ chose our weakness in order to give life, and learn to distinguish between wallowing in our weaknesses and acknowledging them as a way to invite God’s glory to be made manifest through us.

This is not meant to inspire despair or self-pity. Rather, our aim as a church is to become more aware of the capacity we have in our weakness to host the power of God. Because in our weakness, He is truly strong.

So embrace your weaknesses this week! Humble yourself in the Presence of God as you reflect and meditate on his word. We pray the Holy Spirit guides you as you read and as you process.
