Here's the practice for you this week:

  • Set intentional time aside each day to pray.

  • Be clear when your fast is going to start and for how long (24 hours, 3 days, 5 days).

  • Set the day and time for when your fast will end - be specific.

  • As you fast on the day(s) you decide, each time you feel a hunger pain or think about food or take a lunch break (with no lunch!), use it as a prompt for prayer. Turn your heart and mind to God and ask Him to breakthrough in your personal situation/s and in our churches building situation. Find your strength not in food, but in His Spirit drawing close to you.

  • Focus your prayers each day on the assigned areas.

  • Spend time in the word of God - meditate on scripture.

Monday Morning Prayer, 8am

Monday Prayer continues this week on Zoom with a focus specifically on God opening up doors for a building.  Whether you are a Monday morning prayer regular, or you have never been before, we say now is the time to turn up!

Daily Prayer, 12noon

Every day at 12noon someone different each day will be leading us in a short time of powerful prayer and cry for breakthrough!  We encourage you to set aside 10/15 minutes, perhaps as part of your lunch break and commit to turning up as we ask God for his intervention.

Worship & Prayer Nights, 7.30pm

Join us on Tuesday and Thursday evening for two nights of live prayer and worship!

Thanks to the open-handed hospitality of our friends at Newtownbreda Baptist Church we will be able to meet in-person, both nights! We encourage you to register for one or for both nights as we intentionally seek God together at this time.

You must register in advance for track and trace purposes.

It's important that you consider what is the best approach for your household, bubble or situation when deciding whether to attend an in-person gathering. While safety measures are in place; the transmission of Covid-19 cannot be entirely eliminated. If you are showing symptoms, unwell or feel uncomfortable in attending, we encourage you to join us live from home on Zoom.

If this changes prior to arrival - you must not attend and inform us as soon as possible.

A Week of Prayer & Fasting

We believe now is the time for us to earnestly seek God for a breakthrough in our building situation. Since December 2018 we have been without a permanent meeting space and we want to intentionally take time to corporately and individually call on God for His provision of a space for us to call HOME.

From Monday 26th - Friday 30th October, we are calling people to set intentional time aside to fast and pray for breakthrough.

Why register? We want to encourage everyone to be really purposeful in how you set up your week.  Commit to a certain day, or indeed days of fasting.  Commit to turning up to pray on Zoom. Commit to turning up for LIVE worship and intercession. Commit to your own quiet time with the Lord. Together, let's be believing that as we pray; breakthrough is on the horizon.  A great way to do this is to register and ask others to hold you accountable to your commitments:

Daily Prayer Focus

Each day we want to encourage you to pray into a different area of further possibilities for us as a church and for God given potential.

In all that we are praying we know that the Church is more than a building, the church is the people.  In all that we are praying for this week lets not make the building an idol, but rather let's be praying for God given opportunities for the Gospel to be made known.
